Main areas of the research study

Study of biologically active compounds of raw materials; development of the methods of fulfillment of measurements of physicochemical index of derived products of agricultural products; development and scientific explanation sterilization (pasteurization) regimes of tinned fruit, vegetables and meat; research of pigment-forming compounds during the shelf life and processing of root crops. Development of prognostic models during the manufacture of tinned food products; risk assessment at manufacturing of food products for providing their safety.

Development of blending of seed oil for obtaining of fat-and-oil products with balanced fatty acid content.

Determining of frontier of detectors and measurers of week optic signals based on quantometers (together with the BSU).

Scientific evidence and development of technological technics allowing to obtain wooden composition material with controlled properties; development of methods of measurements fulfillment of quality index of industrial and construction products. 

Development of methodological recommendations on creation and introduction of the management systems in accordance with the standard requirements SRB  ISO 9001, management systems of safety and health protection (SRB 18000), safety-related systems of food products based on the risks analysis and critical control points (HACCP) and SRB ISO 22000 in the National system of conformity validation of the Republic of Belarus.

Optimization of the structure and content of technical education under the conditions of the Bolognese process. 

BSTU Consulting centre on management systems

BSTU Consulting centre was founded on January, 1 2008 in accordance with the order of the principal of the BSTU with the aim of providing consultative service to enterprises in development and introduction of the systems of food products quality and safety management based on the analysis of risks and critical control points (of HACCP systems), safety management systems (SMS), quality management systems (QMS), health safety management systems (HSMS) and also their preparation to certification. BSTU Consulting centre provides methodological assistance to companies and enterprises regardless their departmental affiliation, form of incorporation and location.

Main functions:

– arrangement and implementation of works on development and introduction of food products quality and safety management systems based on the analysis of risks and critical control points (of HACCP systems), safety management systems (SMS), quality management systems (QMS), health safety management systems (HSMS);

– providing enterprises and companies with methodological assistance on risk analysis, composition, structure and content of documents of food products quality and safety management systems based on the analysis of risks and critical control points (of HACCP systems), safety management systems (SMS), quality management systems (QMS), health safety management systems (HSMS);

– examination of operating, newly developed and corrected documents of food products quality and safety management systems based on the analysis of risks and critical control points (of HACCP systems), safety management systems (SMS), quality management systems (QMS), health safety management systems (HSMS);

– auditing of НАССР, SMS, QMS, HSMS systems, acting at enterprises and companies; initial teaching of principals of HACCP and quality management to specialists of enterprises and companies;

– providing of one-time consultations on quality and safety of food products and risks assessment of industrial risk factors.

Laboratory Facilities

Department has modern laboratory facilities: chromatographs, spectrophotometer, derivatograph, a set of equipment for food products research including unique device for microbiological analysis and water activity measurements. This complex is a base of the new laboratory which conducts testing of food products and drinks on orders of enterprises and individual people. Laboratory facilities are used not only for scientific works by the department employees but also for practical laboratory works with students and preparing research diploma works.
