Professional training includes organization and production management at timber enterprises, design of new types of logging machines and woodworking equipment; feasibility of engineering projects, prototype-making, experimental-industrial control and environmental assessment of logging equipment and its efficiency.
Students are given a detailed description of hoisting and conveying equipment and development of the machinery in forest industry, design of manufacturing equipment, maintenance systems, wood cutting operation, types of wood-cutting tools, installation and operation of wood-working machines. Students hone their skills in designing and making wood-cutting tools and tool-grinding machinery.
