Chemical Technology of Organic Substances, Materials and Products

Professional training is based on the study of technology of organic products such as automobile fuels and their components, solvents, plastics and rubber, paint-work materials, methyl alcohol, source substances for large-tonnage polymers and surface-active materials. Students get familiar with technology of oil- and gas refining, crude oil processing, physical-chemical methods of analysis of raw materials and products of organic and petrochemical synthesis, energy-conservation technology of oil-refining and petrochemistry.

Students may choose to focus on one of the following specializations within the graduate program: technology of basic organic and petrochemical synthesis, technology of elastomer processing, technology of paintwork materials, technology of plastic mixtures, technology of plastics processing.

Professional training is based on study of technologies of producing (from carbohydrate containing raw materials) a wide range of organic products such as automobile fuels and their components, solvents, paint-work materials, methyl  alcohol, source substances for large-tonnage polymers and surface-active materials production. Students study technologies of oil- and gas refining, production of source materials for organic substances, application of reclaimed raw materials, physical-chemical methods of analysis of raw materials and products of organic and petrochemical synthesis, energy-conservation technologies of oil-refining and petrochemistry. Students acquire knowledge in the field of design of organic synthesis enterprises, computer simulation and optimization of chemical-technological processes.

Technology of Elastomers Processing

Would-be specialists study chemistry and physics of polymers, principles of formulation structure, technologies of production and processing of elastomeric compositions, peculiarities of rubber structure and properties, technologies of manufacture of tyres and rubber articles, modification of polymers and methods of their identification, recycling of elastomers. Students acquire methods of calculation and design of rubber articles and mouldings, computer simulation and optimization of chemical-technological processes of elastomers processing.

Technology of Paint-Work Materials

Students study chemistry, physics and technology of production of film-forming materials, properties of pigments, principles of formulation structure and technologies of modern paint-work materials and coatings. The teaching process also deals with issues of modification of properties of film-forming polymers and paint-work materials, peculiarities of paint-work materials for coatings for special application. Students acquire knowledge in the field of design of paint-work enterprises, computer simulation and optimization of chemical-technological processes.

Technology of Plastic Mixtures

Students study chemistry and physics of polymers for production of plastic mixtures, chemical technology of monomers for polymers synthesis, methods of analyzing their structure and properties. The teaching process also deals with technologies of production, processing and application of plastic materials, peculiarities of biodegradable polymer materials technologies. Students acquire knowledge in the field of design polymer materials enterprises, computer simulation and organization of chemical-technological processes.

Technology of Plastics Processing

The teaching process provides students with theoretical principles of materials science and elastomers processing, technologies of plastics production and processing, technologies of composite materials, modification of polymers and methods of their identification, recycling of plastic materials. Students acquire techniques and methods of calculation and design of plastic articles and mouldings, computer simulation and optimization of chemical-technological processes of plastic processing.
